Grede to Produce Navistar Engine Components
Engine parts maker Grede Holdings LLC has signed a multi-year agreement to supply engine components for Navistar, Inc’s new MaxxForce 7 V-8 turbo diesel medium-duty engine.
The engine is slated to launch this summer for commercial truck and school bus applications.
Grede will manufacture the components at its Menomonee Falls, WI. machining operation and its Wauwatosa, WI., and Iron Mountain, MI., casting facilities.
Grede already produces ferrous castings and lost foam castings for Navistar at other facilities.
The MaxxForce 7 deal is Grede’s largest per-truck content agreement, according to a company statement.
